Last year, we announced that the next major version of Microsoft Edge will be based off of the Chromium open source project and that we intended to become significant contributors to that open source project in a way that would not just make Microsoft Edge, but other browsers as well, better on both PCs and other devices.

At Build 2019, Gaurav Seth and I went deeper into our plans for how we intended to move the web forward with Microsoft Edge, including how we intended to contribute to Chromium, our ongoing work in web standards, and delivering a consistent set of developers tools and application experiences built using web technologies.
